Brisbane Pet and Animal Expo 2006 - TMs on display

To introduce Tibetan Mastiffs to the public of SE Queensland, we manned a breed stall for the 3 days of the Brisbane Pet and Animal Expo in March 2006. Many of the 30 000 people who attended the expo had the opportunity to meet a Tibetan Mastiff for the first time.

The organizers of the expo  promote the background of the many breeds on display at a pageant. Exhibitors are asked to dress in the National costume of the country of origin of their dog. Hence the photo of Philip, the monk and Bronwen in formal Tibetan dress with Atisha and Vader.

Our breed stall was voted by the public in the Top 3 on each day of the Expo, resulting in a Commendation Award. Atisha was also voted as one of the Expo Best in Show winners at a mock Championship show judged by the crowd.

The Expo is certainly a great opportunity for people learn about responsible dog ownership and to meet different breeds of dogs to decide which is the most suited to their lifestyle.
